The Team of Hope (ToH) is a non-profit organisation incorporated in Ghana to among others, mobilize collective action towards responding to the health needs of people in impoverished parts of northern Ghana. Since its founding, the ToH has impacted the lives of thousands of people through life-enhancing surgeries and general medical care, delivered gratis.
So far, the organisation has relied on the financial and pro bono efforts of Team members and field workers; support of the host health institutions and relatively minimal, yet cherished financial donations.
The ToH has productively applied these resources to vital interventions for people on the margins of society to provide Hope Through Health. These efforts have been widely recognised by private and public agencies in Ghana. One of such recent recognitions is by the MTN Ghana Foundation and its flagship
programme, MTN Heroes of Change Season V (2019) – culminating in our Executive Director’s participation and eventual victory in the Health Category of the programme. The MTN Ghana Foundation trust us to do a good job, and we count on others to do too. That’s a sure means of growing our reach!
