Team of Hope Ghana Launches Mid-Year Free Surgical Outreach in Buluk

Residents of Buluk and surrounding communities are set to benefit from a major healthcare intervention as Team of Hope Ghana prepares to roll out its 2026 Mid-Year Free Surgical Outreach Programme.

The life-changing medical outreach is scheduled to take place from June 1 to June 5, 2026, at the Builsa North Municipal Hospital and the Builsa South District Hospital.

According to organizers, the outreach aims to provide free surgical services to patients suffering from various medical conditions, especially individuals who are unable to afford surgery costs. The programme forms part of Team of Hope Ghana’s ongoing commitment to improving healthcare access and saving lives across underserved communities in Ghana.

The surgical services to be offered during the outreach include treatment and operations for hernias, hydroceles, fibroids, breast lumps, lipomas, and several other medical conditions requiring surgical attention.

Organizers have announced that booking and screening of patients began on May 1, 2026, and will continue until June 1, 2026. Patients are therefore encouraged to report early for screening and registration to secure their place in the programme.

However, officials emphasized that only patients with valid National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) cards will be considered for booking and treatment during the exercise.

Speaking ahead of the outreach, coordinators described the programme as part of Team of Hope Ghana’s broader vision of restoring hope and improving healthcare delivery in vulnerable communities.

This year’s outreach also marks a significant milestone for the organization as it celebrates 10 years of humanitarian medical service under the theme: “Celebrating 10 Years of Restoring Hope and Saving Lives (2016–2026).”
